With Greta Ruggiero

From Bari to Barcelona. From classical music to electronic beats. Greta Ruggiero's path is a geographic and musical track that's constantly evolving. Her continental journey is all about artistic awareness, vinyl records collected, sets that accompany stroboscopic Catalan nights and more. Her tracks are a seamless flow, a sequence plan inspired by traditional study and expressed through contemporary sounds.

Each vinyl record has a unique value: I can feel its story, get a sense of its past, and catapult myself into the lives of the people who have already been able to listen to it.

Q&A
What does music mean to you?
Music has always been a way to express myself. It lets my mind, my inner creativity, emerge and manifest itself. Since I was a kid, I understood that I could transpose into notes everything I felt inside: a bad day, a strange emotional state. Sometimes it's difficult to transform all this into words, but in music I found an ideal platform for communicating my feelings.
When did electronic music come into play?
Moving from Italy to Barcelona opened the doors of electronic music to me. Here contemporary arts are in every corner, in every context. In Bari I had already started listening to some things, starting from house music and Purple Disco Machine, but the atmosphere and parties in Barcelona made me want to explore this universe more deeply. I was 15 years old and from that moment on, I never stopped producing.
What are your favorite musical venues in Barcelona?
Among the places where I really like to play are the Macarena Club and 303 Audiophile, and I would love to play at Red58 and Nitsa Club. When I have the evening free, however, I love going to party at Les Enfants, Apolo and 33/45.
