HOW TO WASH YOUR SELVEDGE DENIM
Selvedge denim is made to be worn and lived in. Over time, it develops unique fading and marks that make every pair different.
Taking care of it is easy: just follow a few simple steps to keep your denim looking its best.
1.
We recommend washing your jeans for the first time after around 5 months of regular wear.
This gives the denim time to naturally develop its own fading and character.
2.
Before washing, turn your jeans inside out. This helps protect the outer surface of the fabric and preserve its colour.
3.
Fill a basin with water and add Roy Roger's Laundry Soap, specially designed to take care of your denim.
4.
Place your jeans in the water, making sure the entire fabric is completely soaked.
5.
Once washed, replace the water to remove any detergent residue. Repeat the process a second time using clean water.
6.
Carefully take your jeans out of the basin and let the excess water drain. Be careful not to twist the fabric too much.
7.
Place your jeans on a clean towel and gently pat them to absorb any remaining moisture.
8.
Hang your jeans and let them air dry naturally, keeping them away from direct heat sources.
9.
Once dry, they're ready to be worn again! Over time, the denim will continue to develop its own fading and marks, making every pair truly unique.
