FFW S.r.l. believes that it is a collective moral duty to allow everyone to access information, products, or services without encountering obstacles or barriers, so that each person may live with dignity, equality, and independence. For this reason, resources have been invested to make the website easier to use and more accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

  1. information on the evaluation of how the service meets accessibility requirements, including applicable standards;
  2. general description of the service, in accessible formats;
  3. descriptions and explanations necessary to understand how the service works;
  4. description of how the service meets accessibility requirements;
  5. information demonstrating that the service delivery and monitoring process ensures compliance;
  6. assistance and reporting of any accessibility issues.

1. Accessibility Requirements and Applicable Criteria

The requirements for digital accessibility are outlined in Legislative Decree of May 27, 2022, No. 82 “Implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 17, 2019, on the accessibility requirements for products and services”, which refers to the UNI EN 301549 technical standard.

Specifically, the website’s compliance must be assessed based on the criteria set out in Chapters 9 “Web” and 10 “Non-web content,” which refer to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at levels A and AA.

The four fundamental principles of digital accessibility, as expressed in WCAG 2.1, are:

  • Perceivable – Content is presented in a clear and understandable way.
  • Operable – The interface is easily navigable by all users.
  • Understandable – Information and actions are intuitive and easy to interpret.
  • Robust – The site is compatible with common assistive technologies.

Referring to the aforementioned UNI EN 301549 standard, which clearly lists the 50 success criteria for evaluating website accessibility, technical analyses have been carried out on the website's content, including both textual and non-textual information, downloadable documents and forms, and two-way interactions such as digital form submissions and the completion of authentication, identification, and payment processes.

Exclusions from Application

Article 1, paragraph 5 of Legislative Decree No. 82/2022 states that the provisions of the decree do not apply to the following website and mobile app content:

  • pre-recorded time-based media published before June 28, 2025;
  • office file formats published before June 28, 2025;
  • maps and online mapping services, provided that essential navigation information is available in an accessible digital format;
  • third-party content that is neither funded nor developed by the economic operator nor under its control;
  • website and mobile app content considered archives, meaning content that has not been updated or edited after June 28, 2025.

2. General Description of the Service

This website is aimed at end consumers and offers sales services for the Roy Roger’s brand, allowing users to discover, select, and purchase the company’s products. Users can browse the site using filters, add items to the cart or wishlist, register to access their personal area, and manage orders, returns, and personal details. In addition to the complete purchase process, the site also allows users to find the nearest store, subscribe to the newsletter, consult customer service, and contact the company.

3. How the Service Works

The website is accessible via desktop, tablet, and smartphone using the main web browsers currently available, and is offered in both Italian and English.

The site navigation is designed to be intuitive and consistent, through a main menu that provides direct access to the most relevant sections.

Below is a detailed explanation of the main services offered on the site:

  • Browsing products: users can explore the various products by accessing menu items divided into women, men, and kids sections and selecting the desired product type from the dropdown menu.
  • Adding products to favorites: users can save products of interest by clicking the dedicated icon on the preview or on the product page. All saved items are shown on the “Wishlist” page, accessible from the menu. From there, products can be added to the cart or removed.
  • Making a purchase: users can purchase desired products by selecting the item of interest and clicking the “add to cart” button on the product page after selecting the size. To proceed with checkout, the user must click the dedicated menu item at the top, proceed to the checkout screen, log in or enter their details without registering, and select a payment method. Once all fields are filled in, the order can be submitted to complete the purchase.
  • Accessing the reserved area: the website allows users to register or access their personal area by selecting the appropriate option from the dropdown menu in the header. By entering the required information, users can log in or create an account.
  • Requesting a return: return requests can be made by both registered and unregistered users. Simply access the “Request a return” section from the menu and complete the dedicated form. Registered users may also submit the request directly from their reserved area.
  • Search navigation: users can search for products by entering a keyword into the search bar located at the top of the page (header).
  • Filter navigation: within product pages, users can refine their search using different types of filters.
  • Requesting information: to receive support or clarification, users can contact the company via email, telephone, or by completing the contact form on the “Contact” page accessible from the footer.
  • Consulting customer service: users can access a FAQ page dedicated to customer service by clicking the relevant menu item found in the header or footer.
  • Subscribing to the newsletter: users can subscribe to the newsletter by entering their email in the dedicated field in the homepage footer and clicking the submit button.
  • Store locator: users can find information on the brand’s retail locations via the “store locator” menu item available in the About section of the header or in the footer, by entering the country and city of interest.

4. Fulfillment of Accessibility Requirements

To improve accessibility and the user experience, FFW S.r.l. has integrated the UserWay PRO accessibility widget into the website covered by this statement. Its use by website users is completely free and helps enhance the site’s compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
UserWay PRO provides multiple features to improve both website accessibility and user experience, through a dedicated panel accessible by clicking the widget icon or using the CTRL+U keyboard shortcut, as listed below.

  • Screen Reader: reads aloud all page content without needing an external screen reader.
  • Dictionary: allows access to dictionaries without leaving the website. Essential for users with cognitive disabilities, non-native English speakers, and more.
  • Larger Text: increases text size on screen with four levels of magnification, instantly improving readability across the site.
  • Saturation: adjusts site color intensity to high, low, or grayscale.
  • Contrast: inverts site colors or switches between light and dark contrast modes.
  • Smart Contrast: ensures all site colors fully comply with ADA standards, improving content visibility.
  • Highlight Links: highlights links, buttons, and interactive elements with bright, high-contrast colors to make them easier to identify, improving usability, navigation, and overall accessibility.
  • Pause Animations: pauses moving or auto-refreshing content that may hinder accessibility, including flashing animations that could trigger seizures in at-risk individuals.
  • Text Spacing: adjusts character spacing and line height for better readability by dyslexic and visually impaired users, offering three levels of customization.
  • Line Height: increases vertical spacing between lines to ensure more comfortable reading.
  • Text Alignment: aligns text to the left, right, or center for a more personalized and accessible reading experience.
  • Dyslexia-Friendly Font: the “UserWay Dyslexia Friendly” font improves readability and provides a smoother reading experience for visitors with dyslexia.
  • Large Cursor: increases the standard cursor size by 400% to ensure it is always visible, enabling faster, easier navigation across links, tabs, and form elements.
  • Tooltips: displays alternative text and ARIA labels for elements on screen when hovering. Tooltips are high-contrast and easily readable for users with low vision.
  • Page Structure: quickly reveals page headings, landmarks, and links in a clear, structured, and accessible way to help users—disabled or not—find content faster.

In addition to the user-activated features available via the accessibility menu, the UserWay PRO widget can detect numerous site non-compliances and automatically correct them in real-time, without modifying the source code—only what is rendered on the screen. This makes the site more usable for all end users, including those using assistive technologies.

Web content accessibility for users using assistive technologies such as screen readers, alternative keyboards, or voice commands is also supported through the use of ARIA attributes. These are useful for describing the role, state, and properties of interface elements, communicating dynamic interactions (e.g., expandable menus, modals, sliders) to screen readers, and supporting keyboard navigation in complex components.

Additional Accessibility Requirements for E-commerce Services

The service ensures that identification, security, and payment functionalities are accessible, also through systems that make these features perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.

Regarding electronic payments, the website relies on the following major providers:

Compliance Status

To determine the compliance status of the website, the guidelines and evaluation checklist prepared by AgID were used.

This website is partially compliant with the requirements outlined in Appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard. As the site was published before 06/28/2025, the company intends to achieve full compliance when a new version of the website is released in the future.

5. Accessibility Monitoring Process

FFW S.r.l., in a future update of the website referenced in this statement, will pay special attention to the service delivery process to ensure it meets the requirements defined by digital accessibility regulations, also considering the support of external consultants for the following activities:

  • technical accessibility audit of the website via a gap analysis;
  • user testing of main user flows, including with assistive technologies;
  • analysis of third-party technologies, plugins, and services implemented on the site;
  • reporting of gaps and non-compliances identified during technical audits and user testing;
  • validation of fixes for identified non-compliances;
  • preparation of accessibility documentation available to the public;
  • training internal staff on digital accessibility best practices;
  • definition of internal policies and procedures for handling user assistance requests.

FFW S.r.l. also plans to conduct periodic technical audits to monitor the website’s accessibility over time, potentially with contributions from third-party experts in digital accessibility, in order to implement improvements—including those suggested by users.

If needed, these technical audits will be carried out by an external accessibility consultant using tools that are consistently updated with current regulations, reviewing compliance through semi-automated code checks, manual user testing, and assistive technology tools.
